What starts out as a typical day in Lakewood Ranch can quickly turn to tragedy – due to an accident or medical emergency. Knowing how to react in those first few minutes is critical and could make the difference toward a positive outcome.
This 90-minute session focuses on Emergency First Aid for the general public. No medical experience needed. You’ll hear how to quickly evaluate an emergency situation, assessing the ABCs, and learning what YOU can do before the first responders arrive. You’ll learn steps you can take to aid choking and bleeding victims. We’ll also show you how to use an AED Defibrillator, a potentially lifesaving device used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. This is one session you can’t afford to miss!
Advance registration is required. Seating will be limited at Town Hall.
